Yes - A visa is required for travel to Samoa

A valid passport and Temporary Resident Permit are required for clergymen and missionaries with theological or academic religious education who intend to go to Samoa for religious purposes.

Passport Requirements:

Original, signed passport valid for 6 months beyond stay in Samoa, with at least one blank passport page available for Samoan visa stamp. Amendment pages in the back of the passport are not suitable for Samoa visas.

Samoa Visa Application Form:

One original Samoan visa application form. After placing your order, fill out the application form included in your Visa Application Kit.

Photo Requirements:

Two recent 2 x 2 passport type photograph, in color, front view and with a plain/white background.


OR - you can upload a photo when you place your order, instead of providing physical passport photos.

Criminal Record:

A police report is required for ALL persons over 18 years of age coming to Samoa. It must show the applicant has no history of criminal charges resulting in a minimum of one year of sentencing, no history of deportation and not be on any alert or warning lists. If in the past 5 years you have lived for more than 1 year in another country, a police report will be required from that country as well.

Medical Requirements:

A medical report is required for ALL persons, over 16 years of age, intending to stay in Samoa for 1 year or more. (The report includes a physical examination, blood test and chest x-ray.) Your doctor must make his report on Form MPMC102 for the physical examination and blood tests, and a MPMC103 for the chest x-ray. The permit decision will delayed if the reports are not submitted. Required for all a signed doctors statement that the applicant has no health problems that would pose a risk to Samoa.

Proof of Sufficient Funds:

Proof of financial stability (bank statement within the past 3 months or sponsorship for the event/activity)

Special Instructions:

The Samoa consulate requests applications to be submitted at least 30 days before your intended travel to allow for sufficient time for processing.
